N-isopropyl-N'-5-methyl-3-heptyl-p-phenylenediamine - antiozonant for rubber does not cause skin irritations

Vulcanisable diene rubber contains a stabilising amt. of N-isopropyl-N'-5-methyl-3-heptyl-p-phenylene diamine. Used for the preservation of sulphur-vulcanisable diene rubbers, pref. those contg. >50% diene hydrocarbon, e.g. natural rubbers, styrene-butadiene copolymer rubber, cis polybutadiene etc. Skin tests on the stabiliser compsns. show they are comparable to control compsns. preserved with p-phenylene diamine antiozonants known to be safe to use.
