<p>Panel-type heat exchanger, partic. one using two gaseous media, comprises a support e.g. frame spanned by heat exchange surfaces. The support is pref. made of metal and covered with corrosion-resistant material, or it may consists of bars made of PTFE or tetrafluoroethylene copolymers. The heat exchange surfaces pref. consist of coated fabric pref a composite of glass fibre fabric and PTFE or tetrafluoroethylene copolymers, which may be partially adhered to the support or which may be welded to form sheath. Heat exchange may take place between the two surfaces of the fabric. The components can easily be assembled and dismounted and the exchanger provides a large exchange surface area combined with a small external vol.</p> |
