<p>A die for pelletising machine, e.g. for producing pellets of animal fodder has a great number of through bores from the input side to the output side in which pieces of tubing are inserted. The tubes protrude at the output side and are conical enlarged at the input end. The material for the die can now be chosen independent of that for the tubes, i.e. for strength rather than for surface quality or acid resistance. Worn tubes can now be replaced and no running-in period at reduced throughput is required, to smoothen the bores and reduce scorching of the fodder.</p> |
