<p>The frame or cabinet for UV photo therapy has an upright screen (1) one side corresponding to the height of a standing person, containing a set of vertical UV lamps. Further horizontal lamps (26) can be arranged in the base (2) and other lamps inside the overhanging top (3). Inside the screen is a filter plate (5) which does not permit radiation above 300 nm to pass through. The upright screen is a shallow U-shape in cross section, and across the open side is another U-section screen (4), mounted on wheels. This can be pushed inwards against the first screen so that a standing person can be completely surrounded by lamps. Inside the first screen is a swinging support (50) so that a patient can be supported either near the lamps or a certain distance from them.</p> |
