The simultaneously opening guillotine hoist doors are connected by rod, chain and pulley and the degree of opening is controlled by an adjustable stop. Plates (11) connect the top leaf (5) to the chain (7) which passes over the pulley (8) and then connects to the metal rods (10). The rods move in fixed guides (12) and are connected at their bottom ends to brackets (13) on the bottom leaf (6). The bottom of the rods are threaded so that the screw nuts (14) form a stop that can be adjusted to control the opening (3) the hoise.
