Heat exchanger for ventilator - has sheets with folded edges forming channels for flow or inlet and outlet air

The heat exchanger is built up fron rectangular metal sheets. Flanges are formed along two opposite edges, (7) by folding the metal upwards to project outwards at an angle of 45 deg.. The other two edges (9) are folded downwards and project inwards at 45 deg.. The sheets are stacked one upon another with interlocking flanges forming channels. The flow along each channel is at right angles to flow in both adjoining channels. The heat exchangers are for ventilation systems, and transfer heat from outgoing stale air to incoming fresh air.
