AUTOMATIC TIME ADJUSTMENT SCHEME

An apparatus and a method for automatically setting a present time are disclosed. The apparatus comprises a voice pattern extracting unit(1) for receiving a signal having a voice information for the present time to extract a voice pattern; a voice pattern memory(2) for storing the extract voice pattern; a time information pattern memory(3) for storing a reference pattern of the time voice signal; a microcomputer(5) for comparing the signals from the voice pattern memory(2) and the time information pattern memory(3); and a display unit(6) for displaying the time provided from the microcomputer(5).
