0035 Large amounts of air are supplied without creating draughts from large roof or ceiling areas to rooms beneath them using a pressurised box (11) located above an air distributor (14). A perforated partition wall (15) is positioned between the box and distributor and components (19) located in the partition wall holes are used to compensate for varying air distribution in the box. Adjustable nozzles (17) for the distributor force the air leaving the extractor to rotate and become entrained with air already in the room. These nozzles also reduce the velocity of the air leaving the extractor and create a gentle downwards movement of air over the entire area underneath the ceiling or roof.
