The connector has a crimp-sleeve (1) loosely crimped around the end of the insulated multicore wire. The sleeve is then pushed down between two tapering arms (3) such that the sleeve is crimped tightly around the wire and the sleeve's cutting edges (4) bite through the insulation and contact the conductors. The crimp sleeve has end flanges (5) that prevent it leaving the tapering arms in an axial direction. The flanges are formed by bending the ends of the sleeve outwards. The connector has the same design as one for solid, single-core wires.
