PURPOSE:To provide a manufacturing method of heat pipes which needs no wick supporter, by a method wherein a metal wire material is knitted on the outer periphery of a core member and a metal thin wires or metal thin tubes, C-shaped metal thin tubes and the like are provided on the outer periphery of the knitted metal wire, and the product is inserted through an outer metal tube, and then the core member is removed therefrom. CONSTITUTION:The metal wire material is knitted on the outer periphery of the core member 1 to form a first wick layer 2. On the outer periphery of the first wick layer 2 is formed a second wick layer 3 by attaching in longitudinal direction or winding in circumferential direction very densely the metal thin wires or metal thin tubes, C-shaped metal thin tubes and the like. After the second wick layer 3 is covered with the outer metal tube 4, the core member 1 is removed therefrom. According to this method, it is unnecessary to use any wick supporter for supporting strongly the wick on the outer tube 4. |
