PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light detecting device low in insertion loss, high in mechanical stability, hardly causing the core deviation due to vibration and mechanical impact and capable of minimizing the fading of a polarization signal. SOLUTION: This receiver system 10 for generating plural optical output signals from the incident light beam having p-polarization components and s-polarization components is composed of successively arrayed first and second polarization beam splitters 20 and three optical detectors receiving heterodyne optical signals. The maximum signal of the three signals is tracked and this maximum signal is used for the next signal processing. The minimum value with respect to this maximum signal depending on the input polarization of two optical fields whose beat notes are heterodyne signals exists. |
