PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the sound field controller which can accurately actualize desired sound field characteristics. SOLUTION: As for audio outputted by sound reproducing means 20 and 30 according to an L and an R audio signal, microphones 40 and 50 are installed nearby the left and right ears of a listener and desired sound field characteristics when sounds of L and R are listened to with the left ear and right ear are set in reference processing means 60 and 70. When sound field correction is indicated, a system controller 80 identifies and sets transfer functions CL1 and CR1 in adaptive control parts 26 and 36, and start adaptive control in order. The adaptive controller 26 performs adaptive control over an adaptive filter 22 provided to the sound reproducing means 20 so that the deviation between the output of the microphone 40 and the reference signal generated by passing the audio signal of Lch through the reference processing means 60 becomes zero. Then the adaptive control part 36 performs adaptive control over an adaptive filter 32 provided in the sound reproducing means 30 so that the deviation between the output of the microphone 50 and the reference signal obtained by passing the audio signal of Rch through the reference processing means 70 becomes zero. |
