PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink jet recording material which is jointly equipped with excellent gloss, ink absorbing properties, and water-resisting properties. SOLUTION: The recording material is so constituted that a water resisting surface resin coated layer 5 so treated as to be made smooth, and an ink recording layer 1 are laminated on a sheet-like substrate 8. The water resisting surface resin coated layer is preferably constituted by curing a polyolefin resin or unsaturated organic compound containing layer by radiation. The surface is so treated as to be made smooth, and the ink recording layer is composed of fine pigment of colloidal silica or the like, and water soluble resin of polyvinylalcohol or the like. The ink recording layer wherein a film is formed by coating on a forming surface is provided on the water resisting surface resin coated layer via an intermediate layer 4. |
