The invention relates to a hydraulically operable clutch release, in which an annular piston is provided with a radially outwardly pointing flange. Arranged on one side of this flange is the release bearing and provided on the other side is a cover which is made as a cover which is axially diaplceable in relation to the housing of the release. It consists of two mutually concentrically arranged plastic parts, the outer of which is arranged firmly on the flange and the inner of which is axially displaceable and seals in relation to the housing. As a result of the two-part design of the cover, it is possible to keep the sealing surface on the housing so short that it requires only approximately half the maximum axial displaceability of the annular piston.
