<p>PURPOSE:To make it possible to mount a sorter on the upper surface side of a picture forming device by positioning a discharge port opposite to the inlet end of the sortor inside the side wall surface of the said device, and making a distance in front of the discharge port to the side wall surface of the said device longer than the total length of the sorter. CONSTITUTION:Recording mediums discharged from a discharge port 23 are fed through an inserting guide 34 from the inlet end 31 of a sorter to a carrying roller 33, and in the case of no their classification, are successively received on a top tray 40a. On the other hand, in the case where the mediums are classified, when their discharge from the carrying roller 33 has been detected, a motor 51 is successively rotated by a fixed angle to raise a top 6 in tray 40a along a guide groove 37 through a disk 53, a link member 55, and an elevating member 56, and in addition to that, to successively raise a bin 40b and the like through a connecting plate 59 and the like, and the recording mediums are therefore successively received on the top tray. In this case, the discharge port 23 is formed upward by a fixed space from the upper surface A1 of a device to make a distance between the opening end of the discharge port 23 and the side wall surface of the said device on a cassette fixing side longer than the total length of the sorter. Thus, the whole sorter can be mounted on the upper surface of the device to reduce space necessary for its installation.</p> |
