High frequency phase shifter for RF and microwave operation

The phase shifter includes a first frequency mixer (20) which receives a portion of an input signal and a signal from a local oscillator (21). A first bandpass filters the output from the first mixer. A second frequency mixer (23) receives part of the signal output by the bandpass filter and part of the local oscillator signal. A second bandpass filter (25) is positioned at the output of the second mixer and generates the output signal. A third bandpass filter (24) is positioned between the local oscillator and the first and second mixers. The local oscillator frequency is greater than twice the maximum operating frequency.
