PURPOSE:To industrially separate a liquid mixture in a favorable manner at large permeation velocity while maintaining high separation factor by using a membrane consisting of a high polymer which has a glycoside-base skeleton containing a cationic group forming salt in a principal chain and performing a vapor permeating method. CONSTITUTION:For example, an ionized chitosan salt membrane is obtained by immersing a chitosan membrane into mixed liquid of ethanol/water or the like contg. acid such as hydrochloric acid and neutralizing acid and amino group of chitosan to form ammonium salt. The ionized polysaccharide-base membrane which is obtained such manner and consists of a high polymer having a glycoside-base skeleton containing cationic group forming salt between pair anions in a principal chain is fitted to a vapor permeating device and the separation of a liquid mixture such as ethanol/water is performed. |
