The burner comprises a tube supplied with a combustible mixt. and with radial outlets along a line. Above and clear of the tube are flame-cooling bars parallel to it. The bars (4) are plate-shaped and on both sides of the row of outlets, so as to enclosed the area occupied by the flames (3) at the sides. The ratio between the distance (11) between the bottom bar edges and the top of the tube to the flame width (b) at the tube can be between 0.5:1 and 13.4:1. ADVANTAGE - High deg. of flame stability and largely avoids pollutant emission.
