<p>A method of handling lightweight fibre optic cables (1) is disclosed which comprises pulling a length of the cable (1) out of a first receptacle adjacent a first end of a conduit by means of a puller unit (12) adjacent a second end of a conduit. The method comprises simultaneously coiling a length of the cable (1) into a fibre pan (11) adjacent the second end of the conduit, such that each turn of the cable coil in the fibre pan is laterally displaced relative to the preceding turn.</p> |
