PURPOSE:To obtain a display device for vehicle by providing a light reflecting part on the rear surface of a base of a transparent resin, by putting shades into a multilayered film so as to form a pattern through a transparent hole, and by providing LED on the rear surface side of the base, so as to make it move synchronously with a brake pedal. CONSTITUTION:A base 5 of a display part 1 made of transparent synthetic resinous plate, has a light reflecting part 6 due to a fisheyed convex part 6a, and is covered with a shade film 7. The letters STOP are drawn by utilizing a slit 9 that forms a pattern 8, on a part of the shade. An ELD 10 is fixed to the upper part of the shade film 7, and when a switch SW is turned ON, voltage is applied thereto. When a brake pedal is not applied, light is incident only from the side of the surface of the base 5 (or the rear part of an automobile) of this braking display lamp, and since the light reflected on the reflecting part 6, the slit 9 is hard to discriminate. When the braking is carried out while the pedal is given, since the switch SW of a power circuit 2 is closed and the ELD 10 is illuminated, large part thereof is shaded, and the light passing the slit 9 is focused on the convex part 6a of the reflecting part 6, and the letters STOP can thus be recognized as a pattern 8 from the rear part of the automobile. |
