PURPOSE: To obtain a dental material excellent in hardness, high in rigidity, processible to an extremely thin layer, greatly high in wear resistance, exhibiting appearance resemble to a natural tooth after addition of a pigment. CONSTITUTION: This dental material comprises (A) 5-30 pts.wt.% of an organic filler composed of a cross-linked (meth)acrylate polymer having 0.001-100μm, preferably 0.10-10μm average particle size, 50-2,000wt.%, preferably 100-1,000wt.% swelling degree and 1-100wt.% cross-linking degree with (B) 40-80 pts.wt. of a (meth)acrylate, preferably epoxide methacrylate or urethane methacrylate capable of forming cross-linking, (C) 0-80 pts.wt. of a (meth)acrylate, preferably methyl methacrylate or 2-hydroxy methacrylate incapable of forming cross- linking, (D) 10-40 pts.wt. of a silanized inorganic filler having 0.005-5μm average particle size and (E) 0.1-10wt.% of an additive.
