PURPOSE:To easily obtain an excellent reproduced picture at high speed repro duction by arranging signals subject to refresh coding processing around a specific location traced by a head and whose envelope is maximized at the high speed reproduction by a recording and reproducing means. CONSTITUTION:A unit number and a track number being additional information arranged after a unit synchronizing signal in VCR transmission data are read from a terminal 101. Refresh slicing is recorded around a prescribed position on a track through the designation of refresh slicing allocation position. The prescribed position depends on the track number and the unit number, and an RF signal reproduced from a head is inputted to an envelope detection circuit 103 via a terminal 102 at high speed reproduction. The circuit 103 recognizes the envelope shape at high speed reproduction and a track reproduction control circuit 74 controls a rotating phase and a tape feeding so as to maximize the envelope at the position corresponding to the track number and the unit number at which the center position of refresh slicing is in existence. |
