PURPOSE:To provide transferability for electrode plates automatically without impairing their quality efficiently by transporting the electrode plates on a chain conveyor, causing them afloat on the way, and aligning in specified attitude. CONSTITUTION:A continuous body for electrode plates 1 for storage battery fabricated in the form of a panel is cut into unitary pieces in the same form. These electrode plates are placed on chain conveyors 2, for. ex., in four pieces and transported. Electrode plates 1, 1 transported in the condition arranged in irregular attitude (I) are stopped by No.1 stopper 4 and there lifted by No.1 lifter 6 to be put in alignment by a width shift machine 8 while apart from the conveyor to prevent damage. In the finish position (IV) of the conveyor, they are stopped by a No. 2 stopper 5 and lifted by No.2 lifter 7, and a specified number of electrode plates 1, 1' are separated from the conveyor 2 with the aid of the fork of a hand to be transferred to the specified position. This motion of transport is all made automatically by a robot. |
