PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an own-vehicle position from the digital information set in a road, etc. SOLUTION: This navigation system is formed of a memory part 1 for storing map information in a CD-ROM; a data input part 2 for inputting (reading) digital data; a decode part 3 for decoding the inputted digital data; a memory part 4 for storing the decoded data; a position detecting part 5 for detecting the present position on the basis of the decoded data; a display panel 6 for displaying the map information and the decoded data, which is formed of, for example, a liquid crystal panel; a voice synthesizing part 7 for synthesizing a voice based on the decoded data; a voice output part 8 for outputting the voice, which is formed of an amplifier, a speaker and the like; an operation part 9 for performing a required operation based on the decoded data; an operation part 10 for inputting a command of system operation; and a control part 11 for controlling each part. |
