PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compressing system with which the number of parts is effectively decreased and processing is enabled only by one system. SOLUTION: Image information for two channels and two fields is transferred to a compression/expansion part 200 of one system. The speed of reading from field memories 125R, 125L, 126R and 126L is made four times as high as the speed of writing, and information is read out twice for each field. Compression ratio is set by pre-scanning, and compression processing is performed. Two field systems and two channel systems, totally, four processing systems can be reduced into one system. |
