<p>A restraint harness (10) is disclosed for securing a passenger to a seat (20) in a vehicle. The harness (10) is particularly well adapted for transporting a passenger who is in a sitting position. The harness (10) has a pair of lateral torso straps (26, 28) adapted to be placed around the torso of the passenger and fastened together. A pair of straps (30, 32) extend over the shoulders and intersect with the torso straps (26, 28). A seat strap portion (14) fastens to a seat back (22) and fastens to the harness (10). An existing vehicle seat belt (24) also fastens to the torso strap (26) to secure the passenger to the seat.</p> |
