PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately inspect the filling state of the packing matter between an iron panel and a pier by providing an ultrasonic probe transmitting and receiving ultrasonic waves, a transmission part applying an AC signal of ultrasonic frequency subjected to pulse modulation, a signal processing part processing an electric signal and an X-Y coordinates detector. SOLUTION: An ultrasonic probe 1 coming into contact with the surface of an iron plate to receive ultrasonic waves, an AC signal generator 21 generating an AC signal of ultrasonic frequency and a pulse modulator 22 modulating the AC signal on the basis of the pulse output of a pulse generator 23 are provided. Further, a transmission part 2, a signal processing part 3 and an X-Y coordinates detector 5 are provided. When the gap between the iron plate and a pier is sufficiently filled with packing matter, incident ultrasonic pulses are propagated to the packing matter and the pier and a reflecting wave component is reduced and the attenuation velocity of reflected waves becomes fast. Then, the formed quality data is recorded by the detector 5. |
