Vehicle headlamp unit

The headlamp unit has a moulded housing (5) with attached housing (5a) for the reflector. The housing is slid into the rear of the unit and includes a cover which contains all the electronics for the headlamp unit. This includes a high voltage supply for the discharge lamp, control unit for electric servo motors for adjusting the lamp and the wash wipe control unit for cleaning the headlamp lens. The housing has lugs (11,13) for locating into the headlamp unit. Tags (7) with captive threads (7a) locate threaded fasteners to secure the housing into the vehicle.
