摘要 The invention relates to an acceptance capacity optimization method for a milk measuring installation, especially for a milk collection tanker, whereby acceptance capacity when using known air separator systems is substantially enhanced in comparison with previous capacities. Technically this is achieved by applying signals to a milk flow entering the measuring installation via a measuring unit, so that the signals penetrate the milk flow and the intensity and/or operation time of the measuring signals is modified according to the amount of air in the milk flow; a difference in intensity between the transmitted and received measuring signal and/or a difference in operation times of deferred measuring signals can be made in a known manner in order to determine the amount of air in the milk flow; the resulting difference in intensity, arising from the amount of air, and/or operation times when air amount limits are exceeded releases an acceptance capacity for which the measuring installation is permitted under the circumstances, and if the limit is not attained a higher acceptance capacity is released. In order to carry out the method an ultrasonic transmitter (9a) is placed in front of the conveyor device (5) (for use on a pump system) on one side of the measuring conduit (4) and an ultrasonic receiver (9b) is located on the opposite side; a signal processing device (10) is provided and connected to the ultrasonic transmitter (9a) and receiver (9b) as well as a device (8,8a) actuating and regulating the flow volume of the feeding device (5).
