PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To avoid abrupt change of ink pressure due to momentum of the ink in a flexible ink tube by assembling a diaphragm having flexibility in an ink chamber of a print cartridge in the case of scanning the carriage across a medium. SOLUTION: To alleviate influence of abrupt change of ink pressure due to acceleration or deceleration of a scanning carriage, there are flexible parts (e.g. rubber) identified as a diaphragm 76 at walls of ink chambers 72, 73. The diaphragm 76 is slightly bent to outside upon abrupt rising of ink pressure to absorb rising of introducing ink pressure. Contrarily, the diaphragm 76 is bent to inside into the chambers 72, 73 to absorb abrupt rise of negative force in the ink. Characteristics of the diaphragm 76 are empirically decided based on characteristics of its ink jet printer by considering scanning acceleration, and sizes of the chambers 72, 73. |
