The pistons (1) are square in cross-section and have teeth (1,1) (1,2) (1,5) (1,6) on all four sides. Two opposing sets of these teeth drive the oscillatory pistons (15,1) (16,1) for combustive material exchange purposes. The other two sets of teeth drive the oscillatory members of the electric generator. This is used to provide traction power for the vehicle and to operate the brakes and suspension levelling control equipment.
