摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to control an automatic musical performance in a variety of ways with simple constitution by sequentially generating plural musical sound signals, which are different in timbre based upon musical performance data, by a small number of channels for musical sound generation at a tempo based upon tempo information. SOLUTION: This device has a rhythm sound source circuit 6 which has plural musical sound generation channels, a waveform memory 10 which stores four kinds of waveform data by the channels, and a memory number generator 7 which generates read addresses for reading waveform data out of the waveform memory 10 by the channels under time-division control. Then data RD indicating sound generation of the respective channels and data CD specifying the kinds of their waveforms are read out of the rhythm pattern memory. The memory select signal generator 7 outputs waveform addresses corresponding to the data CD by the channels to a rhythm sound source circuit 6, which reads waveform data out of the waveform memory 10 on the basis of the waveform addresses by the channels indicated for sound generation by the data RD and generates a musical sound.
