<p>An RF repeater for exchanging digital telephone signals between a basestation and a mobile cordless handset, has an amplifier for amplifying basestation-to-handset signals and handset-to-basestation signals, a timing generator for providing a timing output and a switching arrangement operable in response to the timing output to sample the signals and to connect the sampled signals alternately to the amplifier for amplification thereby. The timing output of the timing generator having a frequency sufficient to effect Nyquist sampling of the signals by said switching arrangement and at least one filter connected to the amplifier for reconstructing the signals from the amplified samples thereof so that said signal timing information is not required.</p> |
