PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve mechanical and electrical strengths by replacing a part of Ti with at least one of In, Ga and Co and at least one of Mn, Fe and Cr and properly balancing the amounts of the replaced elements. SOLUTION: This piezoelectric porcelain composition of the formula Pb(Zr1-x Tix-y-j Lz Nj )O3 [L is at least one of In, Ga and Co; N is at least one of Mn, Fe and Cr; (x) is 0.40<=(x)<=0.50; (z) and (j) are each 0.005<=(z)<=0.020, 0.0002<=(j)<=0.020, or 0.0002<=(z)<=0.020, 0.003<=(j)<=0.020] is obtained by dry mixing PbO with ZrO2 and TiO2 , drying the resultant mixed powder, then calcining the mixed powder and subsequently pulverizing and drying the calcined mixture. |
