The invention relates to a device for applying an endless tape (7) coated with an adhesive to an endless belt (6), whereby said adhesive is heat sensitive and application takes place by sticking down the sensitized adhesive. Said device comprises at least one pressing element (4) and a back-up tool (1) between which the endless belt (6) and tape (7) are passed. Upstream of the pressing element (4) and back-up tool (1) is positioned a heating pad (8) which has a device for heating the tape (7).
