PURPOSE: A brake reaction force reducing device reduces the reaction force transmitted to a brake pedal for driver's comfort. CONSTITUTION: A brake reaction force reducing device comprises a pipe part(4), two pistons(10, 12), multiple catching protrusions(16) and a stopper operating device(20). The pistons(10, 12) are elastically supported by compression springs(6, 8) inside the pipe part(4) and at least one of them pressurizes a push rod(14). The catching protrusions(16) are provided to one of the pistons(10, 12). The stopper operating device(20) is engaged with the catching protrusions(16) and controlled by an ECU(Electronic Control Unit, 22) receiving the starting signals of ABS operation to turn on a solenoid valve to fix the push rod(14) to prevent the pistons(10, 12) from moving freely.
