The tear panel (20) being defined by a frangible score (22) with a first end (28) and a second end (30) and a non-frangible hinge segment (26). A second groove (24) is formed in the panel wall with a tail portion (25) extending from the tear panel through the hinge segment (26). The second groove tail portion (25) has a reduced residual differential compared to the frangible score residual (38). Also, the tail portion (25) includes a curved terminal end (60) that partially surrounds the second end (30) of the score.
