摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ground improving material for civil engineering and building, using the waste of glass such as bottle glass, plate glass, or porcelain as k raw material, and excelling in water permeability. SOLUTION: The water-permeable ground improving material is composed of glass grains obtained by crushing and pulverizing vitreous raw material such as bottle glass, plate glass or porcelain. More specifically, it is used as a vertical draining member composed of pulverized glass, e.g. a sand draining member 75 in the ground consisting of a weak soil layer 72 in place of sand used in sand draining construction method; sand 71 to be laid is provided and compaction is promoted by the load 70 of the laid sand to increase the shear strength of the ground. Similarly, the improver is used as a cover material for a drain pipe buried in the ground and a drain passage buried in the ground dug, or material for improving water-permeable ground, which materials is buried in the form of layers in the ground to drain water in soil.
