PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cordless telephone system which can smoothly shift from a control channel to a call channel of a random hopping pattern. SOLUTION: A master unit control part 100 has a control channel setting means 1 to set control channel number, a master unit judging means 2 to judge existence of access request from a slave unit by a setting control channel, a transmitting means 3 to transmit the response message to the slave unit by the call channel with the same number as the control channel number at the time of having the access request, and a master unit communication means 4 to start communication after response message transmission. A slave unit control part 200 has a slave unit judging means 5 which judges whether or not the setting control channel is caught and judges the existence of response message reception from the master unit, a transmitting means 6 which performs the access request to the master unit by a catching control channel when the setting control channel is caught, and a slave unit communication means 7 which starts the communication when the response message of the master unit is received by the call channel with the same number.
