PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable information terminal and a using communication charge reporting method provided with a function for originating using charge limit exceeding information to an informing destination when a communication charge exceeds a using charge limit amount. SOLUTION: The portable information terminal is provided with a means for monitoring whether or not the communication charge exceeds the using charge limit amount and a means for originating the using charge limit exceeding information to an informing destination when the communication charge exceeds the using charge limit amount.
