PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and system with which a specific video interesting or necessary for each person can be seen reliably without omission, while storing once a program broadcast by digital broadcasting in a recording medium at the side of a receiver of each home or the like and efficiently employing the advantage of a digital technique enabling viewing and listening of contents when one feels like it. SOLUTION: The clipping video recording system 1 for a program video records on videotape the program broadcast by a broadcast station B2, and is provided with a keyword registration means to previously register keyword information according to the needs of a customer who is the viewer of the program for each customer (30, 40), and a video storage means which clips video data corresponding to keyword information registered by the keyword registration means from the program during the broadcast of the program to store them in the recording medium 33 (10, 20, 30, 40).
