PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a jig for efficiently adjusting a blade pressure of an optical fiber cutter and for eliminating cutting defects. SOLUTION: In the method for adjusting the blade pressure, the tip end of the blade of the optical fiber cutter is protruded by 80μm to 160μm upward from the upper surface of a lower clamp when a single optical fiber is cut with the optical fiber cutter and is protruded by 160μm to 240μm upward when a multiple optical fiber is cut. In the jig for adjusting the blade pressure of the optical fiber cutter, a groove which runs the length of the central part is provided, the groove is composed of a first part and a second part, the depth of the second part is deeper than that of the first part, the first part and the second part are arranged stepwise, and respective widths of the first part and the second part are equal to a depth of the groove. |
