PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a spindle device that can facilitate machining on a main spindle tip necessary for high-rigidity clamping of a tool and lower the cost, and prevent a reduction in a bearing clearance under high-speed rotation when a static-magnetic combination bearing is used. SOLUTION: A main spindle 4 is divided into a main spindle body 4A and a main spindle tip member 4B fixed to the tip of the body. The main spindle tip member 4B has a tool mounting hole 71 and a guide surface 73 for clamping and unclamping by a clamp mechanism 9. A bearing 2 for supporting the main spindle 4 is a static-magnetic combination bearing. The main spindle body 4A of the main spindle 4 is of a low-thermal expansion material such as an Invar material, and the main spindle tip member 4B is of a quenchable material.
