PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that a treated material falls by gravity on a single place of a recovery tray in a garbage treating machine discharging the treated material overflowing the outlet of a fermentation tank into the recovery tray and hence the packing density is lowered and the treated material is piled up and accidentally overflows and to solve the problem that the packing of treated material is confirmed only by drawing out the tray or measuring its weight by a gravimeter and hence too much time is taken and the measuring accuracy is lowered. SOLUTION: Vibrators 45 and 87 are provided to uniformly pack the treated material 40 in the recovery tray 29, and a sensor 52 is furnished to detect the passage of the treated material 4. The vibrators 45 and 87 are driven only for a specified time after the discharge of the treated material 40 into the tray 29 is detected by the sensor 52, the driving time can be changed by a setting device 53, and further, a level sensor 93 for detecting the height of the treated material 80 surface in the tray 29 and an indicating part 94 for continuously indicating the weight of the treated material 80 are provided.
