FERMENTATION APPARATUS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fermentation apparatus in which an organic material and a carrier in the tank can sufficiently be stirred. SOLUTION: The fermentation tank 1 is formed so that its lower hall part is a semicylinder and its upper part is an almost rectangular parallelepiped. A rotation axis 2 is disposed in the horizontal position in the fermentation tank 1 and the rotation axis 2 is provided with ribbon screws 11 and paddle vanes 12. The tank 1 stores the carrier carrying aerobic high temperature bacteria, into which an organic material is introduced from a hopper 17 through a shoot 16 and an inlet 15. The organic material and the carrier are heated by a heater 26 while air is blown from a blowing pipe 25. The rotation axis 2 rotates forward and backward repeatedly for every specified period to sufficiently stir the organic material and the carrier to aerobically decompose the organic material.
