PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fixing device made compact, constituted of small number of parts, easily assembled and made inexpensive. SOLUTION: The casing of the fixing device is divided into two, that is, a device body and a cover body, in a direction nearly perpendicular to a recording paper carrying direction so as to house a pair of heat roller and pressure roller in the device body. A housing to support the heat roller and the pressure roller on the device body side is divided into two bodies turnable with center at a fulcrum and provided with U-shaped parts having an opening part on the respective opposed surfaces of the divided bodies, and the pair of rollers is respectively supported by the U-shaped parts. By dividing the casing into two and supporting the pair of rollers by the U-shaped part provided in the housing, the heat roller and the pressure roller are easily exchanged and assembled.
