PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicular rotary machine driving system for facilitating the lowering of rating and miniaturization of an electric motor for functioning as a starter for starting an engine. SOLUTION: The engine Eg and the motor 11 are connected via an electromagnetic clutch 18, and a power steering pump 23 and a brake pump 25 are connected via an electromagnetic clutch 19, respectively, so as to be connectable- disconnectable to transmit motive power. When driving the engine Eg, the motor 11 is constituted so as to drive both pumps 23 and 25 in a state of cutting off the transmission of motive power of the motor 11 and the engine Eg. When starting the engine Eg, the motor 11 is constituted so as to drive the engine Eg in a state of cutting off the transmission of motive power of the motor 11 and both pumps 23 and 25. Thus, since the situation of simultaneously driving both pumps 23 and 25 and starting the engine Eg can be avoided, a maximum load applied to the motor 11 can be reduced.
