POLYPEPTIDE SERVING AS ANGIOGENIC MARKER AND DNA THEREOF

It is intended to provide a marker for angiogenesis,vascular diseases,inflammatory diseases,intraocular angiogenic diseases,genital diseases,central nerve system diseases and cancer;a method of detecting the same;a kit for diagnosing the diseases;and drugs for treating the diseases.KIAA1036 shows over expression in ovarian cancer and colon cancer and expression in umbilical venous epithelial cells and has effects of inhibiting DNA synthesis in these cells,cell migration and lumen formation.Owing to these characteristics,KIAA1036 is useful as a marker for angiogenesis,vascular diseases,inflammatory diseases,intraocular angiogenic diseases,genital diseases,central nerve system diseases and cancer.KIAA1036 is also useful in screening an agonist,an antagonist,a DNA synthesis inhibitor,a cell migration inhibitor,an angiogenesis inhibitor,etc.Substances obtained by the screening,KIAA1036 and its antibody are useful as remedies for the above−described diseases.
