PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a writing instrument which excites a play-conscious user and provides a unique visual pleasure. SOLUTION: This knocking-type shaft operating mechanism incorporating a light emitter consists of a casing main body 11, a shaft 16 for a ball-point pen, a knock operation part 21 and an interposed transmission mechanism 31 arranged in the casing main body 11. The knock operation part 21 is equipped with a shaft main body part 22 for performing a knock operation, a stopper piece 23 arranged in such a manner that it is freely detachable from the casing main body 11 and a contact pin 26 protruded from the shaft main body part 22. The interposed transmission mechanism 31 is equipped with an electric cell storage part 32 which stores an electric cell 41 and is driven by a pressing force from the knock operation part 21, a light emitter 45 which is driven while regulating a contact between a contact pin 26 and the electric cell 41 depending upon the pressing force and is illuminated at the time of the contact, and a light transmission cover part 51 which is driven while protecting the light emitter 45 and transmits the pressing force to the shaft 16 side. The flashing state of the light emitter 45 which is changed depending upon the intensity of a pressing force to be applied to the knock operation part 21 is visually confirmed through the casing main body 11, so that the operation of this mechanism is highly interesting. |
