PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vacuum cleaner having a cleaner body with a reduced size without reducing the size of a motor fan and the strength of a mold. SOLUTION: The vacuum cleaner includes the cleaner body 1 composed of an upper case 4 and a lower case 3, a partition wall 15 for partitioning the cleaner body 1 into a dust collecting chamber 16 and a motor housing chamber 13, motor fan 10 disposed in the motor housing chamber 13, and a sealing packing 14 mounted to a fan cover 11 of the motor fan 10. The partition wall 13 has left and right flange portions 20 and 21 connected to both side surfaces of the lower case 3, a first abutment portion 22 protruded from the left flange portion 20 into an arcuate shape between the right and left flanges 20 and 21, and a communication hole 25 communicating with a suction hole 24 of the motor fan 10.
